Meet the Founder
Mari Morales is a neighborhood activist who is trying to improve the quality of life for those around her. She is a Neighborhood Watch block captain who has received several awards for her work. She has been involved in in the neighborhood watch for the past 17+ years and during that time many improvements have been made in her neighborhood. She loves the city of Inglewood and is proud to have raised her family in this city. She is involved in many activities in her neighborhood and her hard work is plain to see.
Mari's involvement with the community is quite extensive. She is not only concerned with the safety of her neighborhood but also with wellness of the whole city. She has been involved in leading volunteers in street sweeping and trash collecting in the city. She has also collected toys from friends, neighbors and coworkers to distribute to kids during Christmas. Her determination to improve the neighborhood has been acknowledged by local politicians, who have given her several awards for her volunteer work.
Improving her neighborhood is something that she has grown up with. In El Salvador her dad was a well-known city mayor and congressman. He was known as an activist for the poor and was involved in many projects that direclty helped the poor in his country. Perhaps it is from him that she gets her drive to make change.
Mari is one of the reasons the city of Inglewood is a great place to live in. She is one of hundreds of people who give of their time and themselves to make this city better. There is no doubt Mari has had an impact in her community.
